Dear Puppy,
Hi baby. :) I can't talk for too long tonight either because I have a long day of driving ahead of me. We're leaving first thing in the morning to head towards Lawton, Oklahoma to see my amazing boyfriend graduate from BCT!!! AAAAAH! I am sooooo excited! :D I hope I'm able to sleep tonight... haha. I already took my evening supplements so I'm hoping they help me to rest well. I really can't wait! :D It's finally almost almost here!!! XD
I guess this letter might be kind of sad to read later... like, we're not together anymore... but maybe you'll read this between Family Day and Graduation, so maybe you'll still feel happy about seeing me and everything. :)
I picked your mom up from the airport today. She was actually like, 2 and a half hours early for her flight so she had time to spare when she got there. I was so proud of her, haha. I hope we're also able to get out of here early tomorrow AND get to the base on BOTH days EARLY so that we won't miss a thing. :) I just can't even imagine right now what it will be like... I've fantasized about this for weeks now... imagining over and over what Family Day will be like and how it'll feel finally seeing you again. There are no words to express how much I love you and how proud I am to be your girlfriend.
My mom really likes my parents and so far things have clicked well with them. My mom gave your mom a tour of the house and Dad met us for dinner so she's gotten an opportunity to speak with both for a short time. Hopefully there will be more opportunity to chat when we get back from Oklahoma. ^^; On our way up there we're going to stop by Buc ee's, that giant convenience store thing that we went to when you were in Texas... your mom said you've always hated stopping at places like that, so now I understand better why you were SO against the idea, lol. She, on the other hand, is quite excited to go. M* was the one who brought it up, and she said she would love it, so we're going! It's on the way anyhow, so that's nice. :)
On our way home we're going to stop by Fredericksburg to go shopping. Neither of us have any money but I know how much your mom loves to window shop and such, so I think it'll be perfect for her. It's a neat little town, so I'm also looking forward to it.
Anyway, it's just after midnight here and I'm setting my alarm for 7 AM so I feel like I should close. Remember that I love you and I want to be with you, even when we can't be together... home is wherever I'm with you. I feel really homesick right now, but I'm thrilled that I'm going home the day after tomorrow. <3 You mean everything to me. Stay soft no matter what! <3
Your Loving Girlfriend,
Cherry Girl <3

Letter: Finished Cert! Happy You Called Me First, Love
Dear *Soldier*,
I did it! I finished my certification work! :D I hope you're proud that I stayed on target and finished on time. I am really exhausted now, though, and I don't really feel up to writing a letter. It's really late at night and I have a ton of work to do tomorrow before your mom gets into town! I love you so much and I am beyond excited to see you. I keep thinking about how happy it made me that you called me first every single time you had a chance, and even when you could use the phone a second time this Sunday, you still called me! I feel so darn loved 'cause of that. :) It makes me want to squeeze you and nuzzle you and tell you that I love you-- all things I will get to do very soon!!! I can't wait! I love you!
Yours,
Cherry Girl <3

Letter: Cert, tasks, stress, diet, feelings on the phone, gratefulness, typing letters
Dear *Soldier*,
I think I'm gonna finish my Certification in time before I come up there! :) I finished Units 18 & 19 today. Completely. Tomorrow's Unit includes a 700 word research article, a lesson plan, and some essay questions... I am not looking forward to it, but I think it's gonna be good. Maybe I can sorta celebrate getting my cert at the same time you're celebrating completing basic training, yay! ;) Anyway, I still have to finish Unit 20... and since tomorrow is my last day working for a week or so, I have 4 session scheduled as well. Plus I need to do laundry and clean my room, the house, etc... your mom's coming and I know mom's a little bit stressed about it, so I want to help her out a bit by cleaning up around the house. She's embarrassed by this house... she even started looking at a few other houses because she wants to consider other places to live. She's decided she really doesn't like all this land after all because of how much work it is to maintain, lol. Plus she hates this house, she thinks it's ugly... too bad they've spent so much money fixing it up already, though. Anyway I don't know what they'll do, both my parents are under a lot of stress and they were fighting a bit today. :(
It's super late but I just ate a pistachio muffin (the last "cheating" thing I'll eat before back to calorie restriction tomorrow)... so now I feel like I should stay up more to let it digest... I'm not eating before my sessions, and they're back to back, so hopefully these calories last me, haha. Moving on, I know you don't care that much about the specifics of my diet, lol.
Um... I got to talk to you on the phone today! It was a real roller coaster... at first it was exciting and happy, and then that turned to disappointment when you said you didn't have much time, and then I asked my questions in a panic and wasn't really finished when you said you had to go... I felt really unsettled and bothered... I even cried. I felt like maybe you didn't miss me because you sounded so cold... and I thought maybe you didn't have enough time because you had called other people first... :'( So I was really hurt and stuff, but then I realized that probably wasn't true but I just didn't know WHAT to think and I COULDN'T talk to you about it... so I went to talk to a friend of mine who has dated at least two guys in the military and went through this TWICE... lol. I explained exactly what happened and how I felt about it and what worried me and she told me it was totally normal and that you're just THAT tired and that you really are excited to see me you just don't have the energy to show it, etc. She also said you probably had that time originally, or were supposed to have that time, but someone messed it up for you somehow. Anyway, talking to her made me feel better, and I also looked at some time stamp stuff and realized you called me first thing after you updated your Facebook post so I was feeling better, but still not great... and THAT'S when you CALLED AGAIN! :D I was honestly floored. I was so ecstatic that I got ANOTHER phone call from YOU! Anyway I'm sure you remember I asked about how tired you were and about how you felt and how your weekend was hard and everything, and getting to do that validated what my friend had told me, and I actually could hear in your voice that you wanted to see me... plus, I mean, you called ME. Again. Instead of someone else... that really meant the world to me, I can't even tell you. I feel kind of like a selfish bitch wanting all your time but you have so little to give and I feel like I need it the most... but anyway. That's why I offered to let you call someone else the second time... I'm glad I could give you that opportunity this time. And I'm so so glad you called me because it validated that I'm important to you-- and HOW important I am to you... and that's exactly what I needed to know. I am just beside myself now with excitement and joy... the way I SHOULD feel, leading up to your graduation, so I am ever so grateful and happy! I love you, Puppy!
By the way, I should tell you that I'm not planning on writing out these last few letters... first of all, I don't think I'll have the time, and secondly, I don't think it'll matter as much to you... thirdly, I can write more when I type than I can when I'm writing... lol. I should tell you that for the duration of your training I both hand-wrote and typed every single letter that I sent... Some nights when it wasn't convenient to sit at the table and write, so I just typed the letter on my laptop and then penned it the next day. Some nights I did the opposite-- penned it and then typed it up before sending it. Some nights I did both in one sitting. The last few days I've not had any extra time to hand write so I hope you'll understand and appreciate getting all my handwritten letters and I hope you won't think any less of these typed out ones... :x Either way, I'm still writing one a day!
I love you with all my heart and I can't wait to be in your arms,
Cherry Girl <3

Letter: Units Blah, Cheat Day, Football, Trip Plans, Love!
Dear *Soldier*,
I'm stressing out about all the work I have to do... my plans fell through and I'm STILL not even done with Unit 18. >.< At least, I'm ALMOST done with Unit 18 and I'm hoping my family will help me with finishing the parts that are hard for me. I really hate coming up with teaching ideas and that is mostly what slows me down when completing these later units. I only have so much creative juice! LOL
Today was fun. First I checked on Mica after waking up and realized he was doing better than last night so a trip to the vet wasn't necessary... I've witnessed him eating AND drinking, yay! Since I woke up early, though, I decided to work on the unit. Then I had to go weigh myself, be measured, and get a report (which I'm going to show you ^_^) and then do a workout. That was followed by an afternoon of cheat eating which lasted until it was time to go to the football game. I wanted to go to the game because my alma mater was playing against the school my brothers are attending... so it was a personal game for me. I was rooting for my alma mater and it reminded me a lot of being in high school. :) It was really fun AND we won! Haha! :D Mom and dad both went to M* so I'm sort of the black sheep of the family as the ONLY one who did NOT go to M*. They used to tease me for it but I was proud today since we beat M*'s team, hehe. :)
So, I'm thinking of what to feed your mom during her trip to Texas and it's been rather difficult! I think as a state we mostly celebrate red meat and lard. XD I know she'd be happy with just crackers and fruit or something but I want to show her a few special things about Texas. Luckily there are a few vegetarian type restaurants and a great Greek place that has amazing hummus and pita bread so I'm thinking I'd like to take her there. :) One of the other places we'll go is a Vegetarian Tex-Mex place! I didn't know such a thing existed but thanks to the marvels of asking my friends on Facebook combined with Google research I now have a few options in mind. :) The big cinnamon roll is a bust, however, because I called about it and they put lard in them. -_- Oh well. I'll just have to do that with you at our next Texas vacation. <3
I love you and I miss you-- even if you don't read this til after I've seen you in person-- I know wherever I'm at... if it's not with you... then I miss you. I hate when we're not together, I really do. And I always love you. Talk to you soon, hopefully! (Phone call tomorrow?! Last one!!! I'm excited!!!)
Your babes,
Cherry Girl <3

Letter: Nightmare, Mica Sick, Units, Curves
Dearest *Soldier*,
I really gave it my all in my last letter and now I feel like I don't know what to write, lol. You won't get this until you're seeing me anyway, but perhaps it can provide some comfort to you when you're on your way to AIT and another long separation from me. I just want you to know that I want this to work... over anyone else, I want you. I had a nightmare last night that I was getting chatted up/flirted with and then kissed by TWO different men and I felt really awful about it. I am annoyed that when stuff like that happens in my dream I can't control it... I always feel powerless and let it just happen even if it's not what I want. I know that in real life it would be different at least.
So, Mica was sick all day today. He was really lethargic, slept most of the day, and I realized I hadn't filled his water or food bowls in a few days so he wasn't drinking or eating anything... I took his temperature under his arm and it was high by 1 degree. I may take him to the vet in the morning if he still seems really bad. He won't even eat treats today. :( After what happened to your mom's kitties I hope he makes it. >.<
I said I'd get Unit 18 finished today, but oh my God it's the longest Unit yet! :( It's so very annoying... I was hoping for short since it didn't include a lesson plan... but there are TEN tasks! Usually there's only like 6 at the most! I really really need to get it done in the next few days so I'm going to be focusing on getting it all done ASAP... just might be a bit behind the schedule I set out for myself. Bleh. :c
I'm going to try to get Mom to go to Curves with me tomorrow. She bought a special pass deal but every time I've invited her so far she says she "doesn't feel like going." So, I think I need to push her a little bit to get her to at least try it... maybe once she does she'll realize it's fun! I sure like going. :) Plus, tomorrow is weigh-in day... the last one before I get to see you again, so I'll be able to tell you what my total progress looks like... I was hoping for a wowing 30 lbs or something but I've been sedentary for so long, even though I busted my butt I think the progress has been slow. No matter, progress is still progress, and this is a life change not a sprint diet. :) It'll happen eventually. I had salmon and baby kale with onions for dinner tonight, lol. ^.^
Love you so much baby! Stay faithful to me, darling. <3 And stay soft. :) Talk to you soon!
Yours,
Cherry Girl

Letter: Last One Mailed! Grad Plans, Response to Cadences, etc
Dear *Soldier*,
No matter what they call you in the military, I will always call you by your first name. I got your letter today which included the cadences -- written on Monday-- so I can only assume that the letter you mentioned sending 5 days ago got lost in the mail. I'm disappointed that you didn't "feel like" responding to my important and valid concerns, but on the cusp of getting to see you again, the last thing I want to do is fight. Just know that you can't avoid it for long, as Christmas is right around the corner and I need to know how much you're willing to contribute to this relationship-- and I don't mean financially.
I appreciate that you took the time to write out some of the cadences! Thank you. They're not very comforting, are they? But I guess they're not supposed to be. They remind you daily of your role and what is expected of you. I'm thinking that the military is starting to scare me a little... it seems less about serving your country and being patriotic and more about harsh realities and sacrifice. This is just a taste of how my perception has altered since you left for Basic, and while I AM proud! I am very afraid of how this experience has changed you. I hope any and all changes are for the better and you will get the benefit of my doubts, but I am still pretty scared of what is going to happen. I don't see much of who you are-- at least, who I knew you to be-- in your letters... maybe you're just not a letter-writer but I'm just scared. I don't want you to change... I love you so much the way you are.
It is for the above reason that I have felt a very powerful mixture of excitement, anxiety, elation, and nervousness! It's hard to believe that ONE WEEK from TODAY, we will be together again! I can't believe it! For me, the time has passed so painfully slowly... but I'm so thrilled this is almost over. (Or... just beginning! lol) I really need a break from this complete lack of communication... I'm glad it's nearly over and I dearly hope they won't take your phone away at AIT...
Anyway. Let me tell you what our final plans are! Your mom has purchased her plane ticket to and from my home town. She's going to arrive Tuesday night at 7:35 pm, and then we're driving up together Wednesday morning. It's a 7 hour drive and I'm going to leave ASAP that morning (shooting for 8 am) so we get there relatively close to check-in at 3 pm. I'm sure we'll make some stops along the way but I'm praying that we don't experience car trouble... we're driving Grandma M's old Kia, which actually doesn't have that many miles on it but it hasn't been regularly driven for a while, so I'm nervous... But, I'm going to take it to Reuben's tomorrow to get it inspected and to make sure it's road worthy. :) But I digress. We've got our hotel room from Wednesday night through Friday night, and I'm hoping we get the full 8 hours or so both days... So, we check out Saturday morning, drive back to my home state (leisurely, stopping in a few cool places) and then Sunday - Wednesday we're going to do stuff in my home city and meeting my family, etc, and her plane leaves Wednesday the 30th at 3:10 pm. So, all in all, I think it'll be a really great trip, with your graduation and family day being the highlight (at least for me). There are a few other things I'm looking forward to also, like getting a "Texas-sized" 6 lb cinnamon roll & splitting it with your mom, lol. I think she'd be amused. I haven't told her that plan yet but anyway, it'll be fun. Too bad I can't feed her barbacoa. ;D
As I said before, this will be the last letter that I mail out and I hope you get it before Family Day. Both your mom and I are crazy excited to see you again. :) Also, I'm bringing you my dad's guitar for you to play and also swim trunks so the three of us can enjoy the jacuzzi at the hotel (hopefully). I think it'll be nice to snuggle you & your mom can see your new muscles that way without it being weird, lol! I don't think she cares as much as I do, though. ;) Hehe. <3 I can't wait!!!!! Ahhhh! Makes it hard to concentrate on anything & I have so much to get done before the trip!
I love you, I love you, I love you... actually there's a song-- I keep thinking about you whenever it comes on... it's not a song you would particularly LIKE but the lyrics are appropriate I think... I'll print them & include them with this letter along with a sweet picture I found that makes me hope for the kind of soldier you'll be. I absolutely cannot wait to see you again! Please remember where we're meeting... back (away from the audience) RIGHT (as facing the audience!) Since you didn't complain I will assume this plan works for you. Please head to that area when they dismiss, whether it is on a field or in a building, it should still work. I want to get to my baby ASAP! Back Right. :) Don't forget. <3
I love you, *Full Soldier's Name*. This experience hasn't changed a thing about how I feel about you. I hope you still love me just as much. You are my sunshine and I'm totally ready for your sunlight! :D
Bring on Family Day, wooo! <3
I will love you forever.
See you SOON!!!
Your loving, faithful & ecstatic girlfriend,
Cherry Girl <3
p.s. Don't push me away please, I will try to restrain myself. :) <3 Until we get to the hotel anyway. ^_^ <3

Letter: Stopping Mail Tomorrow, No Letter, Units, Miss You!
Dearest *Soldier*,
I have decided that tomorrow's letter will be the last one that I mail. That gives a good enough cushion of time (two days or so) where you may have to go without a letter, but I'd rather that than have letters sent that may never get to you. As I said before, I will still write them-- all the way up to Family Day, but I'll just hold onto them instead of sending them.
I still haven't gotten your letter. I'm suspicious that when Dad got the mail maybe he somehow missed it, but he seemed confident that he would have noticed a letter to me... regardless, tonight I'm going to conduct a search of the house and the car to make sure it wasn't just missed. I am so glad this is almost over.
Not much else to report today; more of the same. I told myself I have to complete Unit 17 to earn a trip to Renee's tomorrow for Project Runway. Then I'll read Unit 18 tomorrow, complete it Friday, then just muscle through 19 on Satuday and finish up 20 on Monday. I think having it scheduled out like this will help me complete it on time. :) Your mom's flying in Tuesday so I want to have it done in time for that. I'm so excited for her to meet my family! :D I am so greatly looking forward to next week... seeing you again... will be amazing. I don't know why I feel so scared, though. Like... I'm afraid you won't love me anymore... or something. I really want that damn letter. >:( lol The reassurance would be nice right now.
I miss you so much and I hope that you're ok and that training is going smoothly. Once again I find myself looking forward to Sunday... the last time I'll hear your voice before graduation/family day... There's nothing special planned this Sunday so I'll just camp in my room all afternoon so I can have privacy when you call. I can't wait!!! Stay soft, baby. I love you 100,000,000!
Yours,
Cherry Girl <3

Letter: No Mail, Units, New Muscles, Print-Outs, Pain of Missing You
Dearest *Soldier*,
Pretty soon I'm going to have to stop sending letters because you won't be able to get them before shipping out to AIT, lol. At that point, I'll still write them, but I'll hold them to give to you in person on Family Day. I am dying to get a letter from you, and even more anxious/excited about seeing you! You said on Sunday that you had sent me a letter "5 days ago..." so I completely expected it to be in the mailbox when I got home. It wasn't... so I then expected with certainty (to the point of feeling sick with excitement when I went to get the mail today) that it would come today... and it didn't! :'( I can't even describe that sinking feeling... most days I would just hope that I'd get a letter but I wasn't surprised when I didn't... however I have been excitedly waiting for your letter ever since you said it should be coming. I want to know so badly what you said! I hope nothing happened to it... it should have arrived by now. :(
Anyway, I had another normal day. Finished Unit 16, so 4 left to go! (17, 18, 19, 20)... I am REALLY trying to get them done within the week. XD I had a lot of sessions today but I still worked for several hours on finishing Unit 16, which was a particularly long one... It felt more like two units in one. Ugh. I hope the last couple feel really short... :P Went to Curves and chatted with Shauna, one of the owners... she and her sister own it together, and they're both so awesome! I love chatting with both of them! I just have to be careful that I'm not late for sessions due to talking to them so much, lol. I've been to Curves 27 times since I joined. :) I feel a lot stronger than before and I'm able to push harder on the machines... I can actually feel my bicep muscle for the first time in years... XD If you remember, there was virtually no change before when I flexed... so I'm excited to show you my new mini muscle, lols. We'll both have new muscles to show each other! :D I can't wait!!!
I printed out all the stuff that I sent to you on Facebook, except for the videos and animated GIFs of course. Those, I sorted through and re-sent to you so it's easier for you to look at all of them when you finally get your phone back for good. The rest I'm including in this letter along with some notes I wrote for you. ^.^
I'm not a fan of this feeling I have all the time in my gut... it's constant nervousness/anxiety/excitement, lol. It's the pain of waiting another week to see you, but knowing that it's only a week and two days away. It's torture! I am SO excited but at the same time I have to get so much done this week that I need to focus, so it just aches... I ache so badly to see you again, hold you, kiss you, snuggle with you... I love you Sunbear, and I need you. Write when you can cause you're running out of opportunities and I don't want to waste my stamps! lol
I love you I love you I love you,

I hope this is as meaningful to you as it is to me. :)
I got this one from your mom, actually.
I hope you think on this one for a little bit.
I love you, but I think you need to think of others more. <3
This one made me think of you cause of zombies & preppers, etc.
Because you are decidedly NOT a "brony," I thought you'd find this hilarious. (And cause of your front page FJ content) :)

Letter: No Mail, Trip Details, AIT, the Boys
Dear Sweet *Soldier*,
Today was pretty normal. I slept a ton because I was so tired after the retreat... lol. Oh! Your letter STILL hasn't come! :( I was hoping it would be waiting for me in the mailbox when I got home but it wasn't. :'( Hopefully I will get it tomorrow. I HATE days with no mail! I've had a closer relationship with the USPS in the last 8 weeks than I've ever had in my life, lol. And I've used a ton of stamps! All worth it, though. :)
We're working out the final details of the trip... I'll probably drive your mom up there in the Kia that grandma M* used to drive... it's a 2004 and has less than 60,000 miles on it so I'm really hoping it won't break down or anything. :( Your mom may opt to spring for a rental car, but that's an extra $220. I certainly can't afford it... I am just so excited, lol. I cannot wait to see you... to feel your lips on mine again... I miss being close to you so much!
I hope when you're at AIT that I'll be able to visit you often without spending much money... I hate that gas costs so damn much. I just ache to be near you again, baby love. <3

I spent a good bit of time with the boys today. I had dinner w/ M* (Dad paid! :D) and dropped S* off at a birthday party (and picked him up) so I was alone w/ each of them for a little while. I miss when they were younger; it was easy to talk to them because they admired me... now they're stand-off-ish and awkward... S* more so than M*. M* makes an effort to show me things and open up to me while S* keeps to himself when he's at home. S* also has developed an attitude problem and a volatile temper. :( I hope he mellows out... I miss the old S*. I still love them both though. Gotta close cause I need to work on my cert. Love you a TON, Puppy! Stay soft & marshmallowy!

Letter: Phone Call, Privacy, The Apple Store
Dearest Beloved *Soldier*,
I am so glad you called me again today *after missing me the first time. I would have been DEVASTATED if I missed your calls completely! :( I regret that I didn't get any privacy at all though... ugh. In a way, since I couldn't really say what I wanted to say I still felt unsatisfied at the end... I wanted to tell you that it would be OK regarding the room thing... basically it's not a done deal regarding her staying with me. She still might get a separate room. I did express to her that we want time alone to snuggle and she said she understands and can go shopping or to a local library to give us some time. :) She isn't slow and knows what's up but she's been where I am before so she understands. At any rate, the point is we've actually already talked about it and it shouldn't be an issue, so feel free to continue to look forward to our time alone together! :) I can't wait!!! I want to see how your body has changed... I don't think mine will be too different yet but I hope you'll still think I'm beautiful anyway. *blush*
It's getting harder and harder to concentrate on doing my cert work cause I keep thinking about how close graduation is! AAAH! XD
Today we stopped by a cute restaurant called "The Apple Store" which had burgers (really good), apple pie, apple jams/sauces and apple soft serve. I tried all of it since it was my cheat day. It was all very good! Except the soft serve... it was way too sweet. I gave most of it to Mom. It was after that when you called... it's always so nice to hear your voice. I just love you so much...
Short letter today since you already have a lot of reading to catch up on, haha! I am feeling sick to my stomach with anxiety over seeing you again. I'm SO SO EXCITED. I haven't been this excited since Christmas when I was a kid! I hope we're always together baby! I love you so much! Stay soft! :)
Love,

Letter: Family Retreat, Singing
Dear *Soldier*,
Today was interesting. On one hand, it brought back a lot of very fond memories of growing up in the church and going to retreats and youth camp and stuff like that. On the other hand, I was sort of sad throughout the day that you weren't with me... N* has S*, M* has J*, Mom has Dad... and then me, you know. It was hard, and I really miss you. Besides, in a way, I'm sad that you never got to experience what I did and therefore you can't really understand what it's like. If we marry someday, perhaps you can come along with me and my family to this event and you can get a glimpse of what it was like for me throughout my childhood.
We started out with breakfast, of course, and then had a meeting where we discussed camp rules. After that we sang and talked about prayer. We wrote a prayer on a slip of paper and made a big chain of prayers that's hanging in the cafeteria. I prayed for you, that you'll be safe, and for strength to continue eating healthy and exercising for the rest of my life. I think that this is the first time in my life where I believe I can actually do that. :) But, I digress. After prayer time we practiced for the talent show later that night. We sang The Wheels on the Bus so that my niece could participate (although, she just stood there staring at us when we actually performed, lol. Oh well.), and we sang a song that N* and I performed once when we were in high school. He still remembered the words so we just let him lead and the rest of us harmonized. It was fun. :) Lunch happened, I took a nap, worked on my certification some, dinner, talent show, then a devotional by the fire where we sang pretty much every song we could think of. We were there for hours singing; it was so neat. I wish you could have been there... even though I don't think you'd really ENJOY it... I think you might come to appreciate and understand a little bit about why I'm so bummed that no one ever wants to sing with me. It's been really cool getting N* and M* to sing with me too, because we can sing a lot of songs the rest of the church doesn't even know, lol.
I have to be up in about 7 hours to help with breakfast (we all have to do at least one chore throughout the weekend, and mine is to help with beverages on Sunday morning, lol.), so I'm going to go to sleep. I'm practically fantasizing about getting to talk to you tomorrow, I'm so excited about it. :D I love you truly, madly, deeply baby. ;o Stay soft inside for me. See you soon!!!!!

Letter: Retreat, niece, concern for Dad, dreams
Dearest *Soldier*,
It's Friday night and I'm at the "HEB Foundation Camp." It's very pretty out here and it makes me really sad that I can't share it with you. I am really looking forward to your call on Sunday... I hope you will be happy to hear from me. I love you with all my heart and it's killing me to be without you all the time. I think of you so often. I wonder if you still think of me outside of when you get my letters... I wonder what you think about seeing me again... I hope you're looking forward to it as much as I am!
My niece was super cute earlier. I guess she always is, but tonight I got to feed her grapes (which I sort of sliced with my fingers to make sure she didn't choke on them). I'd fill a tiny paper cup with grape chunks and then she'd eat them all and do the sign language for "more?" It was so cute! Then when I was making her a refill over the sink (juicy grapes, lol) she came into the bathroom and started pointing at things and saying their names! Like "Shower!" and "Potty!" I could have died it was so cute, lol. I am really looking forward to the day when I can teach my own son or daughter new words and marvel at how cute they are and know that they're mine... but I know that day will come. :) I'm working on improving my body so that I can carry them in a few years' time. I kind of consider this diet and exercise program I'm on like boot camp for becoming a mommy. :P I'm so out of shape that it'll take me a few years of consistent diet and exercise to get healthy enough to carry children. I mean, I could probably do it NOW but it would be higher risk, and a risk I don't want to take. That thought keeps me going. Wanting to impress you keeps me going... knowing this is the last time Mom & Dad will ever pay for a gym membership for me keeps me going... haha. XD I'm also eating less food overall so that after I move back to Washington, I'll be able to afford to continue eating healthy without the food bank. There's pretty much nothing I can eat that they give out at the food bank... like, a few of the meats, eggs, and wilted veggies, but most of it is bread and pasta and expired soups and I just can't afford to eat like that anymore-- health wise. :P I really feel great about my diet, and I LOVE going to Curves! The workouts are so fun to be honest. :) I went 4 times this week. I had to skip Thursday because I had to finish laundry in time for the retreat and I was behind, and I would have gone tomorrow morning but, well, I'm here. Maybe I'll go walking tomorrow morning by the river or something.
I've been worried about my Dad today... nothing specific happened or anything, but, he's just a really hard worker, and Aunt R* said last night that she thinks he's on his way to having a heart attack from all the stress he has in his life. I have never really thought about that but I think she's right...so then, I was excited that he was going to get a break this weekend for the retreat... and then he found out that he would have to work the A/V system at church on Sunday because he's the only one out of three people who know how to do it who is going to be in close proximity this Sunday. So he had to take a separate car to the retreat so he could leave early... for some reason he decided to drive the old F150 that belonged to my grandpa-- and of course, it broke down on the highway! He took a taxi back to San Antonio and is supposed to be coming back up here tonight but it's already almost midnight and he's not here... I hope he's OK. We don't have any cell phone reception at the camp so if something ELSE happened there's no way for us to find out... and now, instead of getting two full days of rest, he'll have barely one. :( I just really hope that his body doesn't give out on him... and that he learns how to relax and enjoy himself.
Well, I wrote a long letter today, I guess I had a lot on my mind. :) It should be an exciting weekend! Lots of fun planned tomorrow, and it's supposed to rain! I am really excited about that because it's been pretty hot and our cabin doesn't have A/C, lol. You once said you like when it rains because it feels more cozy indoors... every time I think of that I imagine snuggling on a couch, under a blanket, in front of a lit fireplace with hot chocolate. I've never done that with you, and it's kind of one of my dreams. Let's add that to our list... we still need to bathe in the sea together, and lay on a mountain! I'm sorry we didn't do either before you left for training... I can't stand the ocean water in Washington! :c And we didn't go to a mountain... but we will. :) And when we do, we will lay on it. Once I get in shape there are a few hikes I've been wanting to do-- one of them involves a secluded hot springs... it would be so cool to go and be there together and relax, hopefully in private... but anyway. I guess I'm just dreaming of our future lives together. I can't wait to see you again, babe. :)
I love you!

Letter: About Mail, Time Left, Weekend Plans, Project Runway, etc.
Hi Puppy! :) <3
Dear *Soldier*,
I wonder if you still get excited when you get a letter from me, or if the occurrence is so frequent that you just expect it. On that note, there will be an unfortunate gap in my ability to send the letters I write for the next few days. Allow me to explain. The family retreat begins tomorrow afternoon, so I'll be able to send this letter out, but Friday night's letter can't go out Saturday like usual because I'll be at the campsite. Then there's Sunday, obviously, which has no mail service, and then after that is Columbus Day. My least favorite holiday, but anyway, of course that means there will be no mail service. The soonest I'll be able to send letters again will be next Tuesday and by then it'll be almost a week before I actually get to SEE you!!! I won't send any more self-addressed envelopes but I would be thrilled if you would use the ones I've already sent if you get a chance. ;)
I'm at R*'s again tonight. I decided I should weight in tomorrow morning this week instead of Saturday since I'll be at the camp. Today was a pretty full day-- but more of the same. Project Runway happened and my least favorite person got eliminated and it caused me to start choking because I breathed in some water in excitement. XD
Since I'm not at home I have no print outs for you today, I'm sorry babe. I hope just my letter is sufficient. I got your graduation packet info posted on Facebook for you AND you should have gotten the watch by the time you get this letter, but I sent that out today. I really really hope you like it. :)
One final thing-- when you see me in person, either comment on how I've lost weight and you can tell, or don't say anything about it at all. If I ask-- be POSITIVE. *Tell me I'm beautiful or something! :)* I cannot stress this enough. I need your support to keep up my good habits. :) ((and I'm terrified of a repeat of last time with "Can't you tell?" "Not really." :'( Please don't say that!!!))
I love you SO MUCH & I'm THRILLED that I get to see you again soon! Yaaaaaaaaay!!!

Letter: Great Mood, Church, Guitar, Family Retreat
Dearest Beloved *Soldier*,
Hello. :) I am in a really great mood today because I got my letter which answered ALL my questions! I'm especially thrilled about your answer regarding alone time with me... I had been hesitant to look forward to that because I wasn't sure if you'd feel like it was unfair to your family or something... anyway, I'm really really excited now. I can't wait to lay in your arms and bury my face in your neck in the privacy of the hotel room. <3 I know that when we're out in public you'll be in uniform... and I know I'm not allowed to touch you too much when you're in uniform in public... and I'm definitely going to want to touch you... so, you know... I'm excited. :) Lunch or a movie sound great too, although I hadn't expected quite so much time alone, necessarily... any time with you will be such a treat! I'll be grateful for whatever I do get. :) Thank you for being on board with me on this!
I'm a little bit disappointed you haven't been going to church... even though I'm not a huge church-goer myself (as you know, lol), I felt like this might have been a great opportunity for you to learn some new things and be exposed to new things. Plus, I remember you were told that it was highly recommended that you go to church because staying behind wasn't pleasant, so I was assuming you've been going to church... but I guess that isn't true anymore. For atheists, I'm kinda glad for that, but at the same time I just feel like, for you, that you might be missing out on an interesting expansion to your knowledge base, even if it is religious knowledge. I'm not overly fussed, though. :) I'm glad you've made good friends to enjoy hanging out with on Sundays!
As for the guitar, assuming your dad can travel with it easily enough I see no reason why he can't bring it... but, it might be more convenient for me to bring my dad's guitar simply because I'm the only one driving to your graduation, so I can just stick it in the trunk quite easily. Let me know what you decide; I'm fine either way. :)
When I asked how you felt after getting the short letter-- I guess I phrased it poorly, but what I MEANT was, how did it feel getting the letter that I wrote on our anniversary? Because I had sent the short letter the day before, but then I wrote a very sweet letter the very next day and sent it along with the pictures... so I wanted to know if that made you feel better. :)
This weekend I'm going on the Family Retreat with my church (and my family). Matthew and Jessica are also coming down to go with us! It should be fun. I'm not sure how much of a retreat I'll be able to enjoy because I'm concerned that I'll need to get work done on my certification while I'm there... I've got exactly 5 units left and I want to get them finished within about a week's time... going to do one tonight after I finish this letter. Anyway, I love you, truly, and I really cannot wait to see my Sunbear again. I know I've said it before, but life is so blah without you... nothing special. You're my special sunlight that I look forward to each and every day. I feel like I've been enduring a long-term eclipse or something. Every once in a while I get a small ray of sunshine when a letter form you comes, or when I sit down to write you and I can feel that sweet connection... I treasure those moments. :) Thank you for being such a loving, faithful boyfriend.

Dearest Cherry Girl,
*Note: You can send one page @ a time if that's easier-- I broke it up over two pages to help w/ time management. Respond when you can babes. I love you!!!
* I read that a quick kiss, "short" hug, & linking arms, is all that's allowed when you're in uniform in public. I REALLY don't want you to push me away for trying to touch you so I need to know in advance... is that info consistent with what you've been told?
We haven't been told anything about customs & courtesies outside of military relations, i.e. talking/interacting with an NCO, WO, CO, the flag, etc.
* When Family Day comes you SHOULD be able to leave base to go to the hotel... your family should also be there... will you please be willing to request some alone time? I don't want to ask & I know they'd respect it if you asked.
Yes, you and I could go out to lunch/ a movie then meet up w/ my family after.
* Is alone time with me something that you want/ are looking forward to?
Yes.
* Who else has written you letters?
My grandma S*, my mom, my dad, my cousin J*, my aunt J*, An* and Al*
* What is church like? (instruments, singing, etc)
Haven't gone. There's dozens of different services to choose from at different times. From Contemporary Protestant to Catholic to LDS to Wiccan. I stay at pretend to clean the bay and just hang out with my friends.
* Do you have access to a guitar & (assuming not), do you want me to bring one to graduation?
Of course I don't have access to a guitar, and I'd love one. I might ask my dad to bring my backpacker though.
* You talked about the gun spinning stuff in a previous letter... Are you going to learn more complicated movements with the rifles or is that only for certain MOS's?
Already answered in previous letter.
* Do you still love me? How much? ;D
Yes, already answered in previous letter.
* Did you get my letter written on Sept 17th and the pictures I included for you?
Yes, you know that.
*(if yes) How did you feel, having gotten my short letter but then getting a letter where I told you all about how crazy I am about you? :)
I didn't like the short letter, if you're referring to the one with the War Prayer
* Do you like the pictures/Do you look at them regularly?
Answered in previous letter.
* Do you still miss me? (last question. :) love you!)
Yes, love you too.
Greeting here!

Letter: Sadness, Printing Funny Things, Watch, Feeling Better
Hi! I love you!!! <3
Dear Puppy,
Tonight I feel really sad. It was a long day and I got a lot done... did really great on my diet, went to Curves, finished a Unit, did 3 sessions, just really felt like I kicked ass today. But, at the end of it all, I'm alone... and I really hate it. The worst part is... even though you're almost done with Basic (which I am VERY excited about!) you still have to go through AIT... which is going to take SO freakin long, it'll make this seem like a walk in the park... or maybe it'll be easier because I'll get to actually talk to you... but honestly I don't know. I just know I feel really shitty about it all right now. I miss you so badly. I have such a sick feeling in my stomach when I think about the possibility of us NOT being together! I hope that never happens. <3
On a lighter note, I got the printer hooked up successfully (finally) yesterday (which you should already know cause you should have gotten the letter w/ the movie info), so I'm easily able to print off funny things for you like I originally wanted to. :) The one with the pet I saw today and laughed really hard. I hope you like it too! I'm going to try to print more before I send this.
I ordered your watch... before you feel disappointed at the fact that it isn't sterling silver, realize that a pure sterling silver band for a men's watch starts at about $600 or so. Besides, silver isn't the hardest of metals and stainless steel is much more durable. I bought one that, at least in the pictures, appears to have a lighter colored metal so it will look as much like sterling silver as possible, and the face is a nice dark blue. Hopefully it won't be TOO dark, but I figured too dark is better than too light, in this case. It cost $63.41 including tax and it has a very clean, classic look. It's also water resistant up to 330 feet in case you ever want to go diving with it on. XD I did a lot of research to make sure it was good quality before I made a decision... the dial is made out of Hardlex which is scratch-resistant and the movement is Japanese quartz, which is supposed to be "the finest made in the world as far as the movement goes." (according to someone who worked on watches for 14 years) Anyway, I'm going to have it sized before I send it to you IF it's really big-- I remember your wrist size is similar to mine-- but I am going to leave it a little bit big just to be on the safe side. We can always make it smaller later. I hope you'll like the style and design as much as I did. :)
I feel a little bit better after writing this letter... imagine that! I guess it feels like I got to talk to you, even if you can't respond to me immediately. I really can't tell you how much I love you in a letter, *Soldier*. I can't tell you how many times I've thought about being with you again, and how badly I want to see you... my mouth is watering just thinking about YOU, and the fact that I'll see you in about two weeks! I really can't wait. :) I hope you're looking forward to it just as much!!! Stay soft, darling. <3

Letter: Money Stress, Weight Loss Results, Hopeful, Movies
Dearest *Soldier*,
I have a feeling that this will be the hardest week yet. I know that my last letter was very frank, and I don't want us to end up fighting in our letters. I wish things were just always perfect, but life isn't like that. In my ideal world, I would have been born to a rich family who would be willing to pay for everything and we would never need to stress about money. Unfortunately, while my family is more wealthy than yours, their assistance only goes so far. Besides, I don't want them to pay for everything for the rest of my life, which is why my certification is so important, and therefore why I have to focus on it more than ever right now. I have only a few short weeks left.
In other news, I got my results form Curves-- finally-- and I lost at least 5 lbs of pure body fat in the first month. That's not easy to do. The rest of my weight lost is probably water. The way they calculate that, by the way, is with a handheld "body fat calculating" device which sends an electrical impulse through your body. It's not very accurate, but, neither are scales in determining weight loss, and they're both going down. Also I'm losing inches... on average about half an inch in each area of my body. It's slow progress but I'm determined to keep it up. :)
I'm really hopeful about your response to my letter... I know you love me... my fear about that is all but gone thanks to all your efforts, but I do wonder sometimes about your stinginess... I think we need to work on finding a balance... saving money is good, being frugal is good, never spending money on anyone but yourself is bad. >_>; Anyway, I think it warrants more discussion... a luxury we are not afforded at the moment.
A list of current movies is included! Let me know which ones sound nice to you. :) I really miss you and I wish I could get a hug. <3 Stay soft, Sunbear.

Letter: Christmas Plane Ticket/ Money Matters
My Darling *Soldier*,
I want to caution you before you get into the bulk of my letter today... if you're in a bad mood or need something uplifting to read, please don't read this letter until a later time when you can approach what I have to say with an open and understanding heart. If you do choose to proceed, keep in mind the following: I love you more than I have ever loved anyone else before, and that remains true still. I want a long-term (life-long, in fact) relationship with you, and I believe that to get there sometimes the road will be bumpy. Finally, I am committed to you, so regardless of how I feel, I'm not giving up unless you force me to. I may not always be happy with everything that happens in our relationship, but there is always an underlying desire to stay by your side. In complete disclosure-- the way I approach our relationship is with the same commitment I would if we were already married. I know you may not do the same for me, and that hurts sometimes, but just know that that's where I'm coming from. That all being said, I understand perfectly well that we love each other, deeply. I'm very grateful for that, and am holding on to that right now because of how the phone call today went... the first part of it was really super great, talking about your training and hearing a few stories from you... getting some business done (with the watch info and stuff)... and then the discussion about the pictures, and money, got brought up... and that developed into something I had wanted to avoid. I know you wanted to avoid it also since you kept repeating, "I REALLY don't want to talk about it right now." Yes, well, I didn't either... AND I successfully avoided it on the phone the week before when I said "I don't want to talk about money stuff on the phone." I knew it wouldn't be an easy topic of discussion, which is why I wrote out exactly what my situation was, financially, in a letter last week... Looking back, I wish I had just said "No, I'm sorry, I will not have the $90 for the pictures at graduation. Yes, I do intend to pay you back." ... but it was your attitude (i.e. "are you EVER going to pay me back?" and "Great. Now I can't call my parents.") that really bothered me, and is the reason I feel the need to write this letter. I had intended to continue to delay this conversation, but you brought up the $90 picture cost, again, so to explain why I was financially strapped required me to bring up the other financial concerns that I'd been holding back for weeks... First of all, I am spending at least 90% of the money that I am making right now on YOU (or on things related to YOU, or related to me continuing to live in Washington to be with YOU, etc)-- if not more. By that I mean, for example, going to Oklahoma to see YOU graduate, storing YOUR things in Washington (along with mine, yes, but a lot of it is yours), buying stamps and envelopes to write to YOU, saving up for a plane ticket to allow me to spend Christmas with YOU... and I just don't even know if I have enough to do all of that. All this financial strain is after a few YEARS of paying for DATES and FOOD and GAS, etc, etc etc, all for YOU! Sometimes... true love requires sacrifice... and I've been doing a lot of sacrificing over the course of our relationship... especially lately, and a lot of it is at the hands of your decision to join the Army. I support your decision, but understand that it hasn't been easy for me financially OR emotionally. I would be at least a little more comfortable financially if it weren't for all the money I've poured into this relationship... and I'm not complaining, that's just a statement of fact. If I had to do it all over again, I would, and I know you are not me, and might not behave exactly the same way with your money... but I am so frustrated by the fact that mere minutes after you instruct me to buy you a sterling silver watch, you balk at the idea of buying-- or even HELPING me buy the plane ticket so we can be together for Christmas. I'm not even sure if you understand just how much that hurts me! I know you're trying to save money, I am proud of you for that, and I think you should save as much as you can... but where are your priorities? What is more important? Me? or Money? Also, the plane ticket, if I bought it today, would only be $242 plus tax, (although that amount will go up the longer I have to wait to buy it) not "$800" as you were saying... maybe you were thinking I was asking you for almost a thousand dollars or something? But no, what I'm asking for is for HELP paying for a plane ticket so we can be together... because if you aren't willing to help at all then we're going to have to spend that break apart. I simply WILL NOT be able to afford it on my own... I am willing to do anything and everything within my power, but I just don't have the money to do it all like I had hoped. So, I don't know how much more plain I can be about it... if you're OK with spending Christmas with everyone that you love EXCEPT ME, then don't do anything, and that's what will happen. Yes, you mentioned spending Christmas at Ft. Huachuca... and in response, I offered to drive you. I probably CAN afford the gas to get to Ft. Huachuca and back to Texas... but you've been offered a FREE plane ticket! How wonderful for you! How can you turn that down? How nice it must be to have people who love you SO much that they're willing to shell out several hundred dollars just to be with YOU! :l
So, now you have a decision to make. If we understand that you're going to be in Washington for Christmas... and your family isn't going to spring for MY plane ticket... how are we going to spend those two precious weeks together? Or is that really not important to you? I was really just shocked at how you responded to me today... I really thought I meant more to you than anything else in this world... but it seems as if I was wrong. It seems like money is what matters most to you, and that hurts me more than you know. I hope you don't perceive this letter as "passive aggressive," as I've been quite up front and honest about how I feel. Perhaps my expectations that you would be willing to contribute financially were unreasonable... but after careful consideration, I have come to an important conclusion:
I really don't want to be in a relationship with someone who doesn't think being together for Christmas-- when it's the only 2 week break for an entire 7 month span-- is an important thing to spend money on.
It is my deepest hope that, after careful consideration, you will decide that you're not that someone... and that you are someone who would work with me in doing whatever it takes to figure out a way to spend those two weeks together.
An alternative option would be to NOT pay for anything, decline the ticket offer from your family, and allow me to come pick you up so you can spend Christmas in Texas. I think you'll find that the less favorable option since it means you wouldn't be able to see your other friends or family-- but it is an option which would allow us to be together AND would not require you spending ANY of your own money. I'm still completely willing to do that if you so choose. Let me know when you reach a decision, please, or if you have any alternative ideas to offer. I'm willing to work with you to reach a solution we can both agree on!!! Furthermore, I will continue writing my letters faithfully, because I love you-- still as much as I ever have. And because I'm committed to you, I intend to do my part to make this relationship work. I thank you for everything you HAVE done for me, for all the letters, for the welcome letter and graduation packet, etc. You mean everything to me, and even though it broke my heart earlier to hear that you might not be willing to sacrifice even a little bit to help me... I really hope that you'll come through for me, to show me through your actions that you really do love me as much as I believe that you do... and do so with a loving and selfless heart.
Your Hopeful Cherub,
Cherry Girl <3
Response: Dress Blues, NIC at Night, Some Answers
Written on Tuesday October 2nd, 2013
My dearest Cherry Girl,
I write you, because I have a little personal time and won't for a few days now.
Today: We got our dress blues: They're super snazzy.
Tomorrow: We're doing "nic at night," google it, along with the gas chamber, it's one of the more iconic basic training moments. You do a mock invasion with live rounds shot above you.
Friday-Saturday: We're going out and basically camping Friday night. I look forward to PT Sunday: I get to talk to you. :)
I love you very much, in your next letter could you include current movies?
Answers:
-- The more complicated movements are only learned by the old guard. (Switching to pencil because that pen sucked), we learn basic movements, port arms, present arms (saluting), right shoulder, left shoulder, parade rest, etc. to name a few.
-- I love you 10,000,000,000,000
-- I do look at the pictures and keep the small ones in my wallet
-- yes I still miss you
Love you very much, gonna try and get some sleep now, love you
Love,
*Soldier*

Letter: About Losing 13 lbs, Weather, Ruthie, Feelings on Pause
Dearest Beloved,
I really didn't want to write a letter tonight... not because I don't want to talk to you or because I'm upset or anything... just, it's 2:30 AM and I have to get up for church at 7:30. :( I wish I could skip, but I missed last week, and I do want to spend time with my family... I think they'd be disappointed if I didn't go. Nevertheless, I do write bearing good news! I lost a whopping 3 lbs this week! I weighed myself about 10 times this morning just to make sure it wasn't a faulty reading, lol. That brings my grand total to 13 lbs so far... and that's really good for one month (despite all these fad diets that say "30 lbs in 30 days" or whatever). Normal, healthy weight loss is about 1-2 lbs a week max... so 3 lbs is a little bit on the "unhealthy" side, but considering I didn't lose much the last 3 weeks, I really think it's perhaps just showing up, finally. :) R* has already told me I look thinner in the face, and mom says she can see it too. I thought maybe I should just not tell you I was dieting so I can surprise you at your Graduation... but you're a guy, and you don't notice things very easily so I get the feeling you wouldn't even notice. -_- Which, is okay, I guess. As long as you still think I'm beautiful and are happy to see me... I'll be happy. I miss you so terribly... I can't believe I've gone so long without any letters... it just sucks. :( I'm really glad tomorrow's Sunday though. :) I think I'll write out my questions beforehand this time, lol.
It just got windy and cool here; I hope the weather up there hasn't been too bad lately. According to weather.com it seems pretty pleasant! Yay. :) Hmmm... I am so stuffed feeling... I ate a very big dinner (chicken fried steak breakfast from Jim's) and ate it late at night (like 11 pm)... so I'm also trying not to go to sleep for a little bit... bleh. I heard something about how Sumo wrestlers gain weight by eating a ton and then taking 3-4 hour naps... XD I don't want to be on the Sumo wrestler diet!!! lol.
Mom & Dad found a new kitten and named her Ruthie. She's a tabby kitten and I haven't actually seen her yet... I called for her when I got home from R*'s but I didn't see or hear a kitten. Hopefully she'll turn up again in the morning and I can meet her. ;)
My heart feels like it's on pause. As R* put it, "put your heart in a box, and lock it away." That's kind of where I'm at. I take it out at night when I write letters sometimes, sometimes I leave it in the box, protected. When you call on Sundays, it bursts out and I start crying... anyway it's a metaphor for a survival technique I'm sure. I don't think I could have survived this without the ability to hold back my feelings at least somewhat... it's a useful skill, I suppose. That doesn't mean I don't miss you, or love you... I still think about you every hour of every day... even in my dreams. I hope you're doing well there, babes. Stay soft for me! <3
I love you dearly,
Your Cherry Girl <3
p.s. This was my last piece of cute paper. :)

Letter: About Movies, Lifestyle Change, Nervousness, Commitment
Yeah, yeah, you know I love you! <3<3<3
Dear *Soldier*,
I'm at R*'s again today! Not sure how much I'm liking this pen... but anyway, we watched two movies... Jack Reacher and Calender Girls. It was like night & day, lol. I can't see you appreciating Calender Girls much, although I thought it was pretty hilarious at times.
I haven't felt sick at all today and I even made it through a nice workout. Tomorrow I'm doing a weigh-in and I'm really hoping to see results... it doesn't matter terribly much because even if the scale hasn't moved much, it will. It's only a matter of time. I'm still sort of bothered by your comment about how "it could be like the blood type diet..." because most days I eat lean meats, fish, eggs, veggies, and protein shake/supplements in the morning. I've completely stopped consuming sugar, dairy, & bread during the week and I don't even want to go back to how I used to eat. Honestly, this is much better for me... I'm eating for life, for fuel... and the veggies & things taste DELICIOUS to me because it's what my body actually NEEDS. Most "crap" food actually tastes like crap to me now... so no, this isn't some hokey diet, this is a lifestyle change and you'd better be both supportive AND proud of else I'll kick your ass with all the new muscles I'm building at Curves!!! XD Just kidding, love. <3
Switching gears a little... I haven't gotten an actual letter at all this week, but I guess you did warn me... I didn't bother getting hopeful Monday through Wednesday, but I have to admit yesterday and today I hoped for a letter. I got the Graduation packet, though, so that was definitely better than nothing! :) Hoping maybe tomorrow a letter will come. If not , I'll speak to you Sunday and I'll again feel nervous and fall all over myself trying to talk to you I'm sure... even though we've known each other for more than 3 years, it feels like the first time we spoke on the phone all over again... except limited to 10 minutes only. :(
Regardless-- I'm looking forward to it! Nervousness or not, you are my beloved... I'm promised to you, I've been by your side for a long time and we are mutual slaves. <3 So, mutual slave, I love you. I hope my letters are still exciting for you to receive. ^_^ I only wish I could send them every day so there would be no breaks in the mail service... at least you know that when one doesn't come, you should be getting two the next day. Can't wait to kiss your soft lips again! <3 STAY SOFT! <3
Yours, <--- lol crazy hand.

Letter: About Grad Packet, Project Runway, Cute Paper, Meeting Up
My Dear Sweet *Soldier*,
I received my Graduation packet today!!! I'm SO THRILLED!!! :D I am beyond excited just to see a map of where your building is located on base... Seriously, I am just jumping for joy inside to know that your graduation is so close! I have this irrational fear that you will have suddenly stopped loving me or that you'll have turned into a robot and everything I love about you will be gone... but I'm sure that's stupid. No one can change that much in 9 weeks and I know you're stronger than that anyway. Maybe if you had no personality going into this, but YOU have personality in spades. XD I hope you've been able to stay light-hearted even through the super busy days. <3
Some advice I read online said we should agree beforehand on a place to meet each other... like, after they release for family day. I'd like to discuss this either in letters or on the phone... I don't know if you've seen the theater but we can say "in the back (farther away from the audience), on the right hand side as you're facing the audience" or something like that so that I can locate you easier. Finding you after your high school graduation was a nightmare and I don't want to repeat that experience... anyway, we have time so just let me know if you have an idea or if my suggestion (back [farther from audience], right [as facing audience]) works for you.
I'm at R*'s tonight for Project Runway... it's fun to get back into it after skipping several seasons, and to have someone to watch it with! Hehe. I also watched a few episodes of Criminal Minds but I'm not overly impressed with that series so I probably won't watch any more. Oh, I also felt really sick his morning... basically I woke up with a moderate headache (which is severe for my standards, but definitely nothing like a migraine) and had to take ibuprofen... then I felt nauseous and just generally pretty awful, so I tried eating a spoonful of almond butter thinking maybe I just didn't eat enough the night before (I had a light dinner of pan-grilled chicken tenders and zucchini) and I was feeling sick because I was really hungry... but, after eating that I felt even worse and ended up throwing it back up. I hope when you were sick that you weren't nauseous because that is just the worst possible feeling! Ugh. I'm glad I didn't have more in my stomach. I went back to bed and woke up after 5 more hours (for a total of 13 hours of sleep) and felt pretty much 100% fine. It's amazing what that kind of rest will do for you! :) I'm lucky that my morning student had cancelled his lesson in advance last night... I hope you really get to enjoy much more sleep really soon. <3 I know how much you like to sleep. :) Anyway, in the end I skipped going to Curves since I was feeling so crappy but since I'm fine now I plan to go in the morning (provided I don't feel sick again). Then it's time for another weigh-in! Time seems to be moving a lot quicker in the last few weeks, I think just because I'm so busy. The sooner I get to see my baby the better! :D
I should say why I'm thrilled about the graduation packet... first off, I got a temporary vehicle pass so it shouldn't be too cumbersome to get on base, and secondly, I don't know how many you were able to send out but I'm just so honored that you'd send both the welcome letter and graduation packet to me. I am assuming you could send these things also to your parents, but overall I am still just happy to be included in that list of people who are so very important and close to you. <3
I'm almost out of my cute paper, by the way. I'll have to start mailing letters written on plain ol' notebook paper soon, not that you care. :) It's kind of cool to think of the fact that I've written SO many letters that I will have gone through two of those notebooks before I'm done. XD
I'm really sleepy and ready to pass out. I look forward to writing another letter to you tomorrow, and I hope I get something in the mail soon! :) Stay soft, my Puppy!
Love you so much,
Cherry Girl <3
* Does meeting at the back (farthest from the audience) on the right-hand side (as facing the audience) work for you? Will you be able to remember that? :)
*Who do you know FOR SURE is coming to graduation? (as in, they already have plane tickets/booked hotels, perm. plans?)
* Do you STILL miss me? ^_^;
Return envelope included. Please send me a letter as soon as you can. <3
~ <3 Remember, I love you, *Soldier*!!! <3 ~
Letter: About Memories, Daily Life, Love Contrasting Combat
Dearest Beloved,
I'm getting bored with my life as it is right now... day in & day out I do the same thing: Diet (which means cooking, shopping, eating), exercise, work, certification, write a letter. Most days if I have free time I spend it on Facebook-- often times looking at your pictures. I hate that my memory is so crappy sometimes... I just want to relive what it was like to have you in bed with me, or for you to hold me or kiss me. Those physical memories are hard to hold on to. I remember things you said, things we did, things we talked about, but those physical memories... I miss those the most. Still, I'm very glad to have some of the memories we share. I'll list some of my favorites... they all pretty much involve our vacations, lol. But: Eating a duck egg breakfast sandwich in Port Townsend and not liking how runny it was, then sharing it with you. Laying on the beach together looking at the composition of the sand. Watching you "swim" on the log when the water was freezing cold. Then more recently (and maybe not in order), waking up to you rolling out of your hammock to lay beside me at Big Creek, watching you chop firewood (so sexy!), play wrestling w/ you in the water at Lake Sylvia (and failing at it), sitting by the playground at all hours of the night chatting while you smoked your pipe, *Re-reading, I forgot to write: Snuggling at Ocean Shores in my sandy comforter :D, making shitloads of S'mores and cooperating together (taking turns constructing or roasting), our swimming "contest" at Lake Chelan which bought us some lovely alone time atop a log, diving for & collecting all those rocks that you wouldn't let me keep... then there are small everyday memories that I miss... like when you roll on top of me in the middle of the night and start... kissing me, or watching movies together (something I REALLY miss!), laying in the grass with you, listening to you play guitar/ukulele, having someone to go to the $2 theater with, snuggling... the way your skin feels... your quick wit, the way you make me laugh, the deep blue of your eyes... I could go on for ages. These flashes come up in my mind constantly and then I think of you shooting guns & doing push ups & running & marching & not getting enough sleep or even any time to write to me and I feel sick to my stomach because I miss you SO DAMN MUCH!!! And I want you to be happy. And I want to be a part of that happiness... I know you look forward to my letters and that keeps me writing them. I hope you can still appreciate them even when they're sappy/emotional like this one... maybe after full days of combat training, reading about my love is a nice contrast? I hope so. I'm doing my absolute best to preserve your soft heart, our relationship, & the love we have for each other. :) Sorry I haven't sent any printouts yet, I haven't had extra time to do so & I know your time is limited so HOPEFULLY I'm giving you plenty to read just w/ letters. Stay soft inside, baby.

Letter: About How I Know You Love Me & Wearing Mementos
* Return envelope included again but don't feel pressured-- just don't want you to run out! :)
Dearest Beloved *Soldier*,
I'm still rife with confusion in my heart, but beneath that is my unfaltering love for you. Even without any contact, (which I still crave) I am secure in our relationship. :) I wanted to start off with that today because I know I've been very needy lately. I just want you to know that there is nothing you can do-- short of breaking up with me, or otherwise doing something unforgivable... (i.e. cheating, murder, etc...) There is nothing you can do that will result in me breaking up with you. I made a promise that I intend to keep, and I know you intend to keep yours too. Yes, that promise has an expiration date, but what I'm trying to say is, don't worry about my dedication because I am unwavering. I could tell, in your voice, both last week and this week, on the phone... that there were moments when you sounded stressed about how what you say or do affects me. Specifically, when you told me writing about your training was the easiest thing to do, I could hear it, and again on Sunday when I said your comment was mean. You sounded almost scared when you said you didn't mean for it to sound mean. So, I guess I've just been thinking about that today, and perhaps I'm reading into something that isn't there, but I just wanted to make it crystal clear that as long as you still love me, still call me when you get phone privileges, still send me letters when you can, etc... then I understand, when you don't-- is because you can't. I have faith in you, in your heart, in your soul, that you haven't changed from the sweet Puppy that I know so well, and love so much. Even if I can't see or hear from you, I know you're there, I know you're going to read this, and I know these things just as certainly as I know that you love me. Even then, I still need to hear it when you do contact me-- even without any doubts, I still crave reassurance. I crave those three little words. I don't ever want those words to become hard for you to say... I and love and you... but it doesn't mean I don't know it's true.
I'm still wearing your necklace, your ring, and the bracelet from the chain of the cross necklace that is lost... I never take them off. Not when showering, or swimming, or sleeping. I hope you still have-- and are still wearing-- the ring that means that we're together. These items are my connection to you... a constant reminder of the moment you asked me to promise to wait for you out by Jenny & Scott's firepit. I'll never forget that moment because of how hard I knew this would be... but I've never faltered, and you can trust that I won't. Can't wait to speak with you again. Also-- it's October!!! I get to see you THIS month!!! I can't wait. :) Stay soft, Sunbear.
Yours,
Cherry Girl <3
