Response: About Combatitives, Guns, Ceremony, Gas Chamber

Written on Sunday September 1st, 2013

To my Cherry,

Sundays are very good here. They are a day of rest from a very fast-paced, mentally and physically draining rest of the week. We did combatitives yesterday, and I could tell it was deeply rooted in Judo/Jujitsu. We also got our rifles and had to memorize the following:

"My M16A2 rifle is a 5.56, magazine fed, gas operated, air cooled, fired from the shoulder, either at semi-automatic or 3 round burst, weapon."

We also learned basic D&C (drill and ceremony) with the rifle. Like when people flip them around and put them on their shoulders and stuff, but we just learned the very basics.

This next week we're doing the gas chamber, and the following week we begin going to the firing range.

Tomorrow's Labor day and is another Sunday basically.

Love you,
Still Soft, *my Soldier*

XXXXX
